Community Organizing

First Presbyterian Church of Pomona is committed to making lasting and positive change in the city of Pomona. To accomplish that, we live with integrity, pray for our community, and work with other churches and organizations in the city as part of a community organizing network.  We engage in public life thorough involvement in the One LA affiliate of the Industrial Areas Foundation, building leadership and power among the powerless and marginalized in the Pomona Valley.  At present, the issues addressed are in public education, crime and safety, workforce development, health care and immigration.  We hope that our church takes its rightful place, alongside other brother and sisters, as a voice of justice in the Inland Valley and LA Basin.
