Join us this winter in making a difference in the life of a child.
I know it isn’t even Halloween yet, and Christmas is the last thing on your mind, but Christmas IS right around the corner, and the more time I personally have to plan, the better! Every year at this time, a special emphasis is made on ministering the love of Jesus Christ in a very practical way by providing gifts to needy children all around the world, who would otherwise never know the joy of receiving gifts at Christmas time.
The Angel Tree program has been a blessing to our church in affording us the opportunity to give in this tangible way to children and families. This Christmas, our church will once again participate in the Angel Tree program. Starting the beginning of November, 2017, we will have plenty of children “Angels” to choose from that are in need this holiday season. Last year, with the amazing generosity of our congregation, family and friends, we were blessed with particular gifts and monetary donations, to in turn bless over 50 children and numerous families with gifts for all, as well as provide some much needed kitchen staples (like rice, beans, and grocery store certificates), blankets, as well as holiday dinner ingredients.
Join me, and First Presbyterian Church in delivering the “good news” to so many families in Pomona this Christmases!
Please contact me at your earliest convenience to let me know how you would like to contribute this year, either with a particular gift(s) for a particular child(ren) or monetarily, gift wrapping, Christmas Dinner, with prayer, etc….I will have children “angels” of all ages (0-18), all sizes, all needs and wants, and also many disadvantaged families. So, I am sure we can “match” you with the perfect “angel”!!
By the way, I know that the holidays are a crazy time of year. So, if you do not have the time or energy to shop for a gift, you can always donate gift certificates or monetary gifts, and I can do the shopping for you. I am a great bargain shopper and I LOVE the holidays! For those of you who are not familiar with the Angel Tree program, you can go to the Prison Fellowship website under Angel Tree and read all about this amazing ministry that I am proud to be a part of, and/or you can also contact me to learn more about the needs of children, youth and their families where my husband John and I are missionaries in the city of Pomona.
Thanks again for your help in this ministry, and God bless you.
